While having all of your collection in an album, so you can easily view it as a book, makes it easy to see your precious collection. The problem I experienced with this album is that my precious (and expensive) collection, kept falling out of the album. Upon contacting Dansco about this they informed me that they "had never heard of this". Personally I feel that the design of the album could be made to hold the coins firmly in place, using up to date materials, since Dansco sees no problem as is it is not likely to change. Therefor my recommendation is to AVOID THIS PRODUCT. CSE NOTE TO REVIEWER: I have read your review of Dansco albums and I am surprised that you have a problem with coins falling out of the pages. My initial question is whether your coins are covered on both the front and back sides by the acetate slides that are included on each page? My experience with Dansco albums is that when the coin is seated in the center of the page with the sliding windows over the coins they will not pop out or even rotate in the album. REVIEWER'S REPLY: I would have to say that I am surprised that you have never heard of this. (yes, both sides of the coin are covered with the acetate) Upon talking with other people at coin shows, it seems that this is not an uncommon problem. The dollars are too heavy to be supported, and as a result they do fall out. As stated, I feel this could be resolved if more up to date materials were used. For example if the coins were held in place with the use of plastic instead of cardboard, or if the acetate were thicker, or both. Therefore I could not recommend this album for any coin as large as silver dollars. Thank you for your reply, it is nice that someone is reading.
