Excellent Pre 2009 mint storage

Pros:
Cons:
Size and durability are excellent for storing mint sets prior to 2009. In 2009, the number of coins increased and the packaging height exceeded the standard height of most storage boxes including this one. I have found only one site that carries a taller box for nearly twice the cost of this box. The tall box has a lip that keeps the lid from dropping all the way down like this box does and that creates another problem - you cannot stack the taller boxes without damaging the lid making it split at the seams (2 of the 3 I ordered arrived with split seams and the vendor's support was OUSTANDING in providing quick replacements.) I do hope a taller version of this box is forthcoming since it is approaching 10 years since the change in mint packaging and this is by far the best durable design.

The box is sturdy and nice looking. It indicates it holds approximately 25 modern mint sets. It is suitable for mint sets only up to and including 2003. Sets from 2004 do not fit (too tall).
