What they don't tell you is that it's not meant to be opened. It can be opened with a sharp knife or razor if wanted. Ships in 2 separate pieces and don't put them together until the coin is in.

These are great. I order them every time I get a new silver eagle. The only issue is that they aren't so easy to open. I can use a thin knife but these are meant for long term storage. I highly recommend for anyone.

I purchased 10 of the 38mm large dollar plastic capsules to store extra Boy Scout merit badges in. I am very impressed with the overall outcome of my purchase. I am considering purchasing a lot more of these in order to put all of my badges in them.
